I was trying to think of what I could say that would be the most offensive while still valid comment. I think I've found it - I'm sure you'll take it wrong.
When you first started this blog it had a great tone of professionalism that made it stand-out in my mind. I was enamored of the way you "stuck to your guns" about subject matter and focus.
As of late I feel like it's devolving into a personal diary, which is fine (and which I will read avidly), but I mention it only as a reminder of what you may have originally envisioned this forum to be.
I think you should go back to the professional tone, and start something else for the personal.
One man's opinion. One man who often doesn't follow his own advice, so take it for what it's worth.
I think I understand what you mean but I must say that I did start this blog as a "diary" of sorts. I wanted something to do to document my second knee surgery as I was kinda depressed during the first one.
It has evolved into something that I feel is a good balance of exactly what the title says "Art, Photography and Me".
I enjoy writing about other artists (I was able to meet two of them on this trip) but what's the point if you don't poke fun of yourself and your surroundings (or at least document it). When people stop reading this I will still be writing. I see it as a interactive diary to be opened years from now. To be viewed by family and friends. Now its meant to be viewed by family, friends and anybody who cares to take the time.
"Florida: 'Photographer in a convertible": Do you mean to comment on this directly? This, in my opinion, blends the humor of being a photographer with the "art" and "Me" part of the blog. I love these shots and I love that I now have a place to present them for people to view, or not.
Clogvert Sucks! Seacrest out.
Ha. I was waiting to see your response to this.
Word, baby. (and not just because i am often featured in your "personal" blogs)I love that you're writing and i don't think there any "shoulds" about it. By the way, as i recall, one of your earliest posts was a photograph of your grandparents and an incredibly personal comment about their role in your lives.Take that, Jay-co. :)
I was wrong - you didn't take it the wrong way: your girlfriend did.
Sweet!
Who loves a public forum? I do.
The comment was not directed at the post - I think that's great.
I also think the site is great, but I still think it's changed from what it originally was. Not being the author, of course, I couldn't have known your intentions, but I can, with absolute certainty say that you are "wrong, WRONG, WRONG", as in Kevin Spacey "wrong" from Superman Returns.
Now I'm just being a jerk, but that's what great friends do: start at the cracks and pick, pick, pick... I think you know all about this. :)
This is also a hard conversation to have in the comments section of your blog. Let's talk about it on Friday.
