it's a shame this image is an orphan, or sorts, that doesn't align with a series - it's a beautiful photo.
Hey Ben, I used to get all bent out of shape about a really nice piece not making it into a series. I used to end up wanting it so bad I would keep it in and it would inevitably bring down the whole body of work. I learned, kinda, to let them go and except them as solo pieces. They do exist and are still beautiful, thats good enought for me.
..and it should exist. i do the same thing. i find myself getting tunnel vision with a particular direction. although, sometimes it takes a great photo that lies on the fringe to open up other possibilities.
I agree! Many single imgages that at first get tossed aside or written off have completely altered a series when brought back in. I also find that the opposite can do wonders - editing I mean.
